Mark, Account Manager

After 27 years in the technology business, Mark knew exactly what he wanted from his career. "One of the most satisfying aspects of a career is being passionate about the product. And I'm passionate about our products at Lenovo. They're easy to align to our customers needs and you know it's going to make a difference to them."

Each day, Mark advises existing clients and expands new business: "I love coming to work because it's always different. There's always a challenge or an incentive to work towards. I've been offered some fantastic opportunities in the short time I've been at Lenovo. I've recently started training our new sales staff, which is something I'm excited about."

"I've also been allowed to mix my outside personal interests with Lenovo. My jazz band recently played at our annual Lenovo Kick Off for about 200 employees and I was also offered a trip to Cambodia to help out with our Caring for Cambodia uniform drive. If you are self-motivated, there is never a shortage of amazing things to work on!"

Katherine, Account Executive

After working for IBM as a Tier 1 reseller in Business Computing Systems, Katherine transitioned over to an Account Manager at Lenovo " Most importantly for me was to find an environment with an upbeat and fresh culture. When I wake up every morning I want to be excited to go to work. If you have to earn a buck, you might as well have fun whilst you are doing it, and this is what working for Lenovo is like!"

"Secondly I wanted to work for a company that invests in their people, and allows for career growth. I have been here only 24 months and have received many educational opportunities, plus two promotions in this short time!"

Katherine loves the perks at Lenovo "This weekend I'm staying at Versace on the Gold Coast for a client sales conference, which is really exciting. Even the sheets are Versace!" Nish, Account Executive

After 4 highly successful years in both ComputerCORP and Dell Computers Australia, Nishant wanted a new challenge to embark on and he knew Lenovo was the place to give him that. "A big component in my choice of employers has always been what I can learn from them, as well as their future vision. I could see immediately that teams at Lenovo both locally and internationally, had a true passion for success which was impossible to ignore."

Along with Nishant's passion for business development and being part of a collaborative team his focus is also on achieving goals outside of work. "Prior to working in IT, I was a contract songwriter and performer. Once I started working full-time, I found it very difficult to juggle my musical commitments along with my day to day working life. After joining Lenovo, I have found that they promote a winning passion internally, but also support people to achieve in all aspects of their life." Nish has since joined a fantastic new band "I'm playing high profile shows each week, without it impacting on my work life."

So what is in store for Nish now? "After working here for a few months, it is obvious to me that Lenovo supports career development and progression. I feel confident that I can approach HR/Management and let them know where my passion lies, whether it's in sales or elsewhere. To put it simply, I can go wherever I want in Lenovo, and its completely up to me to make the best personal choices."
